YS3020 Horizontal Spectrophotometer | 4 mm Aperture
The 3nh YS3020 horizontal spectrophotometer is intended for laboratory color measurement and quality-control workflows that require objective, repeatable data. It uses D/8° geometry with diffuse illumination and an 8° viewing angle, and supports SCI/SCE measurement so teams can evaluate samples with or without the specular component according to their method.
Its Φ4 mm aperture is suited to localized measurement areas or samples where a smaller test area is preferred. A combined LED source, 256-pixel dual-array CMOS image sensor and concave-grating spectral system support measurement across the listed 400–700 nm range. The instrument displays spectral data, sample color values, color differences, pass/fail results and color tendency.
Listed color spaces include CIE LAB, XYZ, Yxy, LCh, CIE LUV and HunterLAB. Color-difference options include ΔE*ab, ΔE*uv, ΔE*94, CMC and ΔE*00, with additional indices such as WI, YI and TI. Users can select 2° or 10° observer angles and from multiple standard illuminants. Results depend on sample preparation, calibration, aperture, illuminant and the selected measurement method.
Reference applications include plastics, electronics, coatings, inks, textiles, garment dyeing and printing, ceramics and other material-color workflows. A 3.5-inch TFT color touch display, CCD-assisted positioning, USB/RS232 and Bluetooth communication, Windows software support and onboard storage are designed for routine laboratory and production QC. Product information lists storage for 1,000 standard samples and 20,000 test samples.
Before selection, confirm the sample area, Φ4 mm aperture, SCI/SCE method, observer angle, illuminant, reporting requirements and accessory configuration. Compare with the 3nh benchtop spectrocolorimeter range or contact Fulcrum Technology to review sample and workflow requirements.
