LS108A Lens Transmittance Meter
Test IR ink openings in phone cover glass, remote-control windows and infrared transmittance
The LS108A Lens Transmittance Meter is designed to measure transmittance in infrared-technology products. Typical applications include IR-ink openings in mobile-phone cover glass, remote-control windows, IR-cut filters, screen protectors and other optical components whose infrared transmission needs to be verified. The measuring aperture is 1 mm; confirm suitability based on sample size, opening dimensions and measurement location.
With its three-in-one optical path, the LS108A measures transmittance at 550 nm visible light, 850 nm infrared and 940 nm infrared with one alignment. It supports incoming inspection, in-process quality control, batch comparison and pre-shipment checks. Confirm the configuration for the sample dimensions, material thickness, surface condition, test wavelengths and quality-control process.
Measurement principle
The LS108A illuminates a transparent sample with 850 nm infrared, 940 nm infrared and 550 nm visible-light sources. Its sensor detects the incident light intensity and the light intensity transmitted through the sample. Transmittance is calculated as transmitted-light intensity divided by incident-light intensity and displayed as a percentage. This supports quick comparisons between batches, opening locations and optical materials.
